Castle hotel, the term conjures up images of glitz and glamour and liveried servants.
And maybe some castle hotels do offer just that. But Obermayerhofen is somewhat different in style.
During the adaptation of the building, the owners of the castle successfully retained the reserved air of the building, preserving the sense of country castle and avoiding the use of overly colourful accessories and paints.

Whenever an old feature or fleck of of gold appears in a corner of the building, you can be sure that is authentic and genuine – part of the Obermayerhofen and not just artificial decoration.
